PIKE RUSH January 2008

Wondering what fraternities are all about at Western? Maybe you've heard people talk about a great party they've been to. Maybe you've seen some people wearing letters around campus. Maybe you've seen a movie or two about them. You must be curious and want to know more. This is what Rush is all about. It is a chance to get answers to your questions.

Not all Fraternities are equal and you can quickly identify the stronger ones by the quality of their members, events, and information. When you come to the Pike House, forget everything you know or think you know about being in a fraternity. Being a "Pike" is NOT just about partying with Sorority girls or having a lot of buddies to drink with on the weekends, it's only part of it.

It's not just about having a few Greek letters to wear. Letters aren't what Pi Kappa Alpha is made of. If you believe that money can 'buy friends' then go somewhere else. We're not looking for the guy who "needs" a fraternity.

To pledge Pi Kappa Alpha is to subscribe to a higher ideal of achievement and friendship. You will meet more people and experience more than you thought possible. You will graduate internationally connected and you will have a broader scope on reality which will allow you to excell at anything you do after University.

Come to an event or two - we want to meet you. There's a lot more to this then you think.
